2D Art Rules and Expectations
Dear Students and Parent/Guardians,
Welcome to Art! Please take the time as a family to read over all of the rules and procedures for my classroom. Here’s to a great semester of exploration, growth, and art!
Course Objectives
Expectations for Students:
Be RESPECTFUL
Materials
Grading
Grading will be done according to individual and group projects, class work, and minimal homework. The projects will be graded on effort, ability to follow directions, and understanding and application of techniques as well as elements and principles of art and design. Completed projects will usually be submitted through canvas, but a hard copy may be requested for certain projects. Homework may be assigned occasionally. If it is not turned in by the due date, a homework intervention will be given. Daily participation will be given as 2 LAB points per day. The LAB points will be given if student follows classroom rules and project directions, helps clean up, stays on task and puts forth best effort every day. Consequences
When a rule is broken, 1-2 warnings will be given and then LAB points will be taken. The consequences will get increasingly more severe, such as a call/E-mail home, a lunch detention, or a referral to the principal.
