Nusayba, 7th grade Apologies for the late post! Halloween has come and gone, but these projects are still awesome (and not all of them are Halloween themed)! For example, Tatiana chose to create a piece that included all things she loves! Kylie, 7th grade Throughout this project, the students were encouraged to focus on pattern, balance, unity, and creativity in the designing of their own patterns. We started by studying contemporary, Brazilian artist, Romero Britto, who's work has been featured all over the world. Some of his most famous displays have been in the Super Bowl halftime, the Fifa World cup Logo, and on a Bentley! We took inspiration from Britto's bright colors, beautiful patterns, and playful designs. But instead of copying his cheerful theme, we put our own twist to our work and created patterns of their own! Tessa, 8th grade Joe, 7th grade Claire, 7th grade The fantastic piece below was inspired by the video game, Epic Mickey! Great work, Tylor! Tylor, 8th grade Tori, 7th grade Chloe, 8th grade Zach, 7th grade Any Corpse Bride fans? I actually haven't seen the movie but I still think this piece by Emma is outstanding! Emma, 8th grade Ariannah, 7th grade Meg, 7th grade Sydney, 7th grade Kylie, 7th grade Avery, 7th grade Cameron, 7th grade Ocean, 7th grade The below piece is based off of the show Doctor Who, which I also haven't seen but have heard great things about. I want to watch it now after seeing how awesome Shreya's work is! Shreya, 7th grade Dominic, 7th grade Jessica, 7th grade Summer, 7th grade Ben even cut his piece to look like a web to fit his Nightmare Before Christmas inspired piece! Ben, 8th grade Thanks for taking the time to check us out! Until next time! Rachel, 7th grade
