I can't get over these! The students did exceptionally well with this project! We study the Pop Art movement with a focus on former Ohio State graduate and artist, Roy Lichtenstein. (Right: Ohhh...Alright..., Roy Lichtenstein, 1964) |
It seems like each time I do this project, the students get more and more creative! Check them out!

Last year, I discovered an artist who founded a wonderful project called "Draw Me a Song". It's "an experimental project that explores the fusion between music and visual art. Through a colorful mix of illustration and hand-drawn typography, the project wants to blur the boundary between music and art, and visually bring to life some of the world's most famous songs." I challenged my advanced students to pick an excerpt from a song and illustrate their interpretation of the lyrics while incorporating the text in an interesting way. They did so well!! They are so talented and I'm incredibly proud of them. By Katie
