All of the new innovative products, technological advances, and life-changing medical discoveries of our time started as an idea from someone's imagination.
A pretty smart guy named Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge."
Knowledge is important too, of course, but without creativity and imagination, those ideas that led to world-rocking discoveries would never have become a reality.
This is why I chose to teach art. Art poses questions. These questions don't have a single answer, just like many real-world problems that don't have a single solution. Through art, one can further develop their critical thinking, creativity, and imaginative skills.
So here's to a great year! And who knows, maybe one of my students will have the idea that sparks the greatest innovative discovery of our time.
