Ever since I got involved with drama in high school, I’ve absolutely loved putting on plays so when I heard about the drama club here at Weaver, I immediately jumped on the opportunity to be a part of it. The director decided to put on Once Upon a High School, which was a fabulous choice! I helped with casting and directing, but being the art teacher, my main job was to get the set painted. I asked my Advanced 2D Art classes if they’d like to help and they said they’d love to! I designed an image, projected it onto the set and my students got to work. Some students were painting, while others were gathering and cleaning materials. It was so wonderful to see them all working together! Both of my classes worked diligently through their entire class period and many of them even gave up the majority of their lunch and free period. I was so impressed at how eager they were to help and give up their time! After a few hours of work, it really started to come together! Check out the finished set below! Great job Advanced students!! Thank you so much for all your hard work, you did an outstanding job! Thank you also to everyone else who was involved with the play. It was such a wonderful experience and I can't wait to help out again next year!
